Potential Help for Crohn's Related Arthritis!

One of the reasons I love Swanson Vitamins - aside from having the best prices around, great customer service, and gluten-free food - is their weekly research report.

In this week's post, they share news about some research related to natural anti-inflammatory agents helping arthritis pain.  Great news for those of us who suffer joint pain related to our Crohn's / ulcerative colitis!  I joke that I have the knees of an 80+ year old!  Kneeling is impossible, and gym classes are full of moments that I have to develop alternate exercises due to my achy joints.

The scoop is that devil’s claw, turmeric and bromelain are being tested with some promising results.

The report sites: “Considering its excellent tolerance profile, the tested complex of three plant extracts with anti-inflammatory properties may be a valuable and safe alternative to NSAIDs in patients suffering from degenerative joint diseases.”*

Here's hoping more progress is made!  Crohnies unite!
