Meal Plan Madness: Easy Healthy Meals for Toddlers

I have a picky, junk food loving toddler on my hands! Some days I wonder if kids really can survive on milk and popcorn. Then there are days he will sit and eat everything I put in front of him, bring me a bag of baby carrots to open for him, and finish all his yogurt without smearing it all over the table and himself.

I have found that having plenty of GOOD options for him on hand and accessible to him has helped a TON. I let him choose his snacks and usually his lunch as well. This eliminates fights and helps him WANT to eat what I give him because HE picked it.

Prepping our meals and snacks has also allowed for quick, easy meal times so we can eat together. Instead of making him a pot of mac and cheese every day and then having to make my own lunch in addition to that- both our meals are prepped and can be made in minutes.

Some of our favorite meals are:

  • Mac and cheese with fruit
  • Grilled Cheese and chicken soup
  • PB & J and baby carrots
  • Quesadilla, yogurt, and fruit
  • Rotoni Pasta with olive oil and baby carrots

Brands and types of food we use:

  • Annie's Mac and Cheese
  • Killer Dave's Bread (21 whole grains is our fav)
  • Adam's PB
  • Homemade, low sugar peach jam
  • Whole wheat pasta
  • Whole wheat tortilla's
  • Tillamock cheese
  • Homemade soups

Here's a video showing our favorites and how I meal prep for my toddler!
