Acute pain related to an increase of peristalsis and inflammation.

Purpose: pain can be resolved

with outcomes as follows:
  • subjectively reported reduced pain.
  • the patient's facial expression calm and relaxed.
  • can identify activities that can increase or reduce the pain.
  • patients are not nervous.
  • pain scale down.

Interventions:
  • Assess pain scale (0-4).
  • Explain and help the patient to the action of non-pharmacological pain relief.
  • Rest of the patient.
  • Teach distraction techniques.
  • Management in giving diet, and avoid gastric mucosal irritant agent.
  • Collaboration with the doctor for medication as prescribed.

Rationale:
  • Nurses assess pain level and comfort of the patient and after the use of drugs and avoid irritating substances.
  • Approach by using relaxation and other nonpharmacological have demonstrated effectiveness in reducing pain.
  • Physiologically breaks can reduce the need for oxygen.
  • Distraction can reduce internal stimulus.
  • By avoiding food and beverages that can irritate the gastric mucosa can reduce pain intensity.
  • Medication can reduce / eliminate pain.
