Drew Cries Foul and Riders Add Another Chapter to MisManaging Quarterbacks.

It was the hit of the season.  Riders Marshay Green levied the bone crunching hit against  Simon Charonneau-Campeau.  Some including Stampeder quarterback Drew Tate are calling it a dirty hit that should have been penalized.  Before Tate gets too critical if you look at the replays, the ball is a little behind the receiver, he is reaching out for it and that’s on you Drew, not on the defence.  If you look at the play in slow motion you will also see that Green is reaching out for the ball to try and make an interception.  In other words, Drew, you threw a poor ball. No penalty needed.

I texted my girlfriend right away because I knew she'd be worried,” the Calgary Stampeders wide receiver said Friday night, after taking a hellacious hit from Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive back Marshay Green.
Knocked out cold, the 26-year-old Quebec native had no recollection of the hit or even getting to his feet and walking slowly to the locker-room.
“I just remember waking up in the training room and talking to the trainers,” Charbonneau-Campeau said. “I remember a couple plays, but I don't remember that play at all.
“Right now, I feel pretty good. Yeah, I don't have short-term memory right now, but I don't feel any dizziness or sickness. I think I'll be fine.”
Meanwhile Stampeder star running back Jon Cornish won’t miss any games after suffering an injury against the Riders and leaving the game early
“I'm pretty good,” said Cornish, who finished with 74 yards on 11 carries, ending his streak of four-straight games with 100-plus yards on the ground. “It's something I'll be back from and won't miss any games from it.”

And from the realms of the unbelievable….apparently Kerry Joseph will be back with the Riders before the weeks end.  Joseph, now 41 years old, retired from football but in either a combination of no faith in what they have at quarterback or having faith in the aged Joseph the Riders are bringing him back.
Rider GM Brendan Taman says Joseph will be back in town before the weeks end.  It's expected that Tino Sunseri will get the start against Montreal on Thanksgiving Monday.  This is coming off a sensational outing by Sunseri where he completed 16 of 19 passes coming off the bench in relief of Seth Doege who was dreadful.  In that one Rider coach "went with his gut" and started Doege in a move that saw Doege throw three interceptions in the first half and fall behind 24 - 0.  Sunseri rallied the team to tie 24 - 24 including a CFL record of three two point conversions before the Stampeders rallied with a late TD to win the game.  This appears to be another chapter in the Riders book of How To Mismanage
                                                                               Your Quarterbacks.

Although they are not saying so this would appear to lead one to believe that Darian Durant will not be back before the end of the season.  If that's the case, it's not a bad move.  But if Durant is coming back then it makes no sense at all.
The Riders are denying reports that 50 year old QB Tom Burgess has contacted them with interest in backing up 41 year old Kerry Joseph
