If You Saw Him, Would You Believe ?

Could you imagine what it would be like in this present age, for example today, to meet Jesus face to face, spend some time, have a chat and then go back to your normal day's routine.  Well perhaps your normal days routine would never be the same again.  All doubts you ever had would be erased.  You would know for sure that every word that has been say by him and about him were true.  How quickly would you then begin to spread the word throughout your Kingdom.  Little doubt that you would tell your friends and everyone else you knew that you had just met Jesus.  He is real.  He is alive.
What a life changer that would be.
It must have been similar for the disciples of Jesus.  They had watched him did a cruel death on a cross.
They had seen him taken down from the cross and now be buried in a tomb.
But then he rose again.  People had seen him and over a forty day period he made numerous appearances where he empowered his disciples and his followers to spread the good news of not only his death, of not only his resurrection but also his power to forgive sins, change lives and provide eternal life.  Death and sin had been conquered and now there was a new life.
Jesus spoke many times to his disciples about the importance of establishing a new Kingdom.  The Kingdom of God where he would equip them and us with the power to do the work. The disciples now preached Jesus and the living and resurrected Saviour of the world.

But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of Godz and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized,a both men and women    Acts 8:12

strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith.y“We must go through many hardshipsz to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.  Acts 14:22

Paul entered the synagoguek and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God. Acts19:8

They arranged to meet Paul on a certain day, and came in even larger numbers to the place where he was staying. He witnessed to them from morning till evening, explaining about the kingdom of God,j and from the Law of Moses and from the Prophetsk he tried to persuade them about Jesus.   Acts 28:23

Throughout the book of Acts Luke, the writer, stresses that Jesus' Kingdom was coming in the life of the church and in the preaching of his gospel.   When Jesus preached he proclaimed the power of the Kingdom of God and the life changing power of his message.  The Bible, the church and you and I are meant to be an extension of that life changing message.
